What you’ll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Eneco, you'll become an integral part of one of our product teams committed to crafting innovative digital solutions that propel us toward a more sustainable future. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of impactful projects within our Digital Core team, including the Virtual Power Plant platform, Digital Core, Dynamic Energy Pricing Engine, and streamlining customer journeys for installing eco-friendly solutions like water pumps and other green initiatives.

Our platforms are meticulously constructed using .NET Core and Azure DevOps, offering you the freedom to leverage a range of tools that best suit the task at hand – think Kubernetes, Kafka, and more. By immersing yourself in this diverse and forward-looking environment, you’ll actively shape the technological landscape that drives Eneco's mission to create a greener world.

Is this about you?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Backend Developer working with .NET Core and related technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in backend development using C#, ASP.NET Core, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and message brokers such as Kafka.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus.

You’ll be responsible for

With the Digital Core team, we build a middleware API platform connecting (third party) backend systems with the customer channels based on a generalized model to support a consistent cross-channel customer experience. You'll be involved in designing, developing, and delivering features that contribute value to our customers. A typical workweek will include a variation of tasks covering design, development, and delivery, providing you with the freedom to continuously improve the platform and stay up to date with the most recent technologies and standards.

Our platform offers a wide range of solutions that support the entire Eneco customer business, encompassing traditional solutions for sales and presenting usage data, as well as innovative solutions such as booking hours of free electricity usage (HappyPower).

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €67.000 and €120.000

Including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role a bonus or collective profit sharing.
