HKW Ecowende is under construction will be ready in Q4 2026. Further growth will come from our development of new offshore wind farms in Northwestern Europe. The Asset Management & Operations team makes an important contribution to continuous improvement based on its knowledge and experience.

The Hollandse Kust Noord (HKN) offshore windfarm is owned by CrossWind, a joint-venture between Shell and Eneco. Hollandse Kust Noord is located 18.5 kilometres off the west coast of the Netherlands, near the town of Egmond aan Zee. Hollandse Kust Noord has been operational since December 2023 with an installed capacity of 759 MW and generation. The onshore service base is located in the port of IJmuiden.

What you’ll do

Improving the performance and costs of the windfarm while maintaining an acceptable risk profile. 

In this position, you are responsible for the Wind Turbine (WTG) scope and Balance of Plant (BoP) scope of these windfarms. Your result areas are health, safety and environment (zero harm), compliance, operational performance (availability & reliability) of the windfarm and long term asset integrity. You act as a single point of contact towards the Crosswind operations director.

  • Master degree or equivalent level of education, general engineering or technical qualification;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy sector, of which preferably 3 years working for an asset owner.
  • Strong team player, collaborating and connecting people;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing English and Dutch;
  • Proven experience within contract management
  • Be results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to take the initiative. 

You’ll be responsible for

  • Safe operation of the windfarm, contribute to pro-active safety culture.
  • Manage your team members and ensure their development and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate activities between your WTG team and the BoP team in IJmuiden.
  • Ensure that all assets and work activities adhere to the applicable permits.
  • Contract management and commercial management of the project.
  • Monthly reporting related to HSEQ, production, WTG availability and reliability, maintenance progress and PPA obligations.
  • Perform statistical trend analysis of the production disruption causes as well as the maintenance and inspection activities.
  • Develop and execute detailed annual plans as part of a long term strategy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement as part of our ISO 45001, 55001 and 27001 management systems.
  • Risk management according to set frameworks.

This is where you’ll work

Eneco Wind has grown in recent years to become the largest offshore wind operator in the Netherlands and consists of a highly motivated team of professionals. You will lead the WTG core team for HKN based in the service base in IJmuiden. The WTG core teams for each windfarm are supported by a centralised Balance of Plant team, a team of Asset analysts and specialists in the field of HSE and Ecology. You will report directly to the head of operations of the offshore wind department. Eneco has introduced a new office policy: 40% of the week at the office, 40% working from home and 20% flexible.

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €91.000 and €140.000

Including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role a bonus or collective profit sharing.
