You love to work on large Shore Power projects
You get a thrill from working on complex engineering projects
Together with professional colleagues, you contribute to the energy transition
The energy transition is no longer a future vision, but a reality in full swing. Rotterdam Shore Power, a joint venture of Eneco and the Port of Rotterdam, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable world.
We provide sustainable shore power solutions that not only lead to cleaner ports but also support the broader objectives of the energy transition. By supplying ships with green electricity while docked, we reduce CO₂, nitrogen, and particulate matter emissions, improving air quality in and around Rotterdam.
As a Project Engineer Shore Power, you will play a key role in large-scale projects across various stages of development and realization. Overseeing the entire engineering process, from concept selection to detailed design, construction, and commissioning support, ensures a smooth and efficient execution.
Acting as the technology holder within projects, the focus lies on meeting all requirements, including safety and quality. Managing both internal and external engineers and specialists, as well as safeguarding technical interfaces, keeps the project on track. Alignment with company standards, the asset organization, clients, and partners is essential to success.
In addition to guiding technical execution, involvement in selecting the right technologies and suppliers ensures that agreed commitments are met. Through these efforts, a meaningful contribution is made to a more sustainable future.
You want to become the technical lead in the project team and work together with all team members to deliver the projects. In doing so, you are proactive in helping to accelerate the energy transition, while you make sure that quality and safety requirements are met. You are result driven and are able to represent Rotterdam Shore Power with clients, suppliers and stakeholders. You have a technical focus, but understand the business challenges of an investor in renewable assets.
In addition, you hold the following qualities:
Within the projects we develop, you are a key player in the project team and responsible for the overall design and scope definition. For this you will work together with internal and external stakeholders and make sure the design meets all requirements.
As Lead Project engineer Shore Power, you will:
You will be part of the Large Project organization within Eneco. The business unit is active in preparation and realization of renewable energy projects. From here you will work for the Rotterdam Shore Power (RSP) joint venture by Eneco and Port of Rotterdam.
At Eneco/RSP we work hybrid. You will have a flexible workspace at the RSP office at the Rotterdam Coolsingel. You can walk from Metro station Beurs in just a few minutes. But you also sometimes work at project locations throughout the Rotterdam harbour or at home. You will also sometimes work at the Eneco headquarters in Rotterdam Alexander.
