As an Group Financial Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting Eneco's activities through cutting-edge analysis and modelling.

What you’ll do

As a Financial Analyst within our Finance Department, you will play a pivotal role in structuring and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making. Your core responsibility will be to develop visual dashboards that simplify complex financial information, making it accessible and actionable for non-financial stakeholders. Your work will provide critical insights into costs, margins, gross margins, and revenue streams, helping to drive informed business decisions.


In this role you also will be responsible for conducting upside and downside scenario analyses on Group financials and performance metrics for key business cases, leveraging on your modeling skills to assess financial risks and opportunities. You will collaborate closely with Business Control, Corporate Strategy, the (investment) analysts in business and Group Financial Control, ensuring alignment across departments and fostering a data-driven culture.
 

Is this about you?

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Econometrics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and dashboarding.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and modeling software, such as Python/R.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
     

You’ll be responsible for

  • Structure financial data and prioritize key insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and utilize models to forecast group financials and key-metrics, and assess financial impacts.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate business risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Control, Corporate Strategy, the analysts in business and Group Financial Control to align financial insights with business objectives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
  • Maintain a balance between high-level strategic thinking and operational execution.
  • Implement dashboards for structural insights.

You will have a flexible workspace at our modern, bright headquarters in Rotterdam. You can walk from Rotterdam Alexander station to your desk in just a few minutes. Although it might take a little longer if you chat with a colleague on the way. At Eneco we work hybrid. That means that you work partly from home.
