What you’ll do

You will be part of the Enabling Technology (ET) department and work in the Enabling Platform Data team. This team designs, builds and maintains the data platform and enables other data teams to create data products on top of this platform. You’re main activities are to: 

  • help develop and maintain our data platform that support data teams in creating data products.
  • implement our Data Technology strategy while considering external factors like new legislation.
  • provide technical advice on long-term strategy for self-service platforms and emerging data technologies.
  • identify and propose improvements for platform quality and cost-efficiency.
  • contribute to standards, including automated testing, to enhance platform maturity.
  • monitor and support the daily operations of the data platforms, ensuring business continuity in collaboration with IT Operations.
  • Important note: you will partake in 24/7 shifts in the future to keep our platform running.

Is this about you?

  • Demonstrable in-depth technical knowledge and experience with the Snowflake data platform and SQL in large complex environments. 
  • Strong experience with Azure (ADF, ADO), Python and  Airflow.
  • Understanding of DWH modelling techniques like Data Vault and Dimensional modelling
  • It’s nice If you also have experience with some of the following technologies: Grafana, Azure (Blob Storage, Event Grid/Storage Queues, Entra ID and Security), Git, CI/CD, Collibra and DBT.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly express ideas, provide feedback, and engage in open, constructive dialogue, including saying 'no' when necessary.
  • Has demonstrable experience in working with multidisciplinary teams in complex environments with an agile way of working

     

You’ll be responsible for

  • Assists the Tech Leads Data by assuring that Eneco will adopt best practices around data platform operation within Enabling Platforms.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of data platforms and tools in alignment with the Data Technology Strategy.
  • Ensure platforms are mature, purpose-driven, highly available, and aligned with the shift toward self-service platforms.
  • Foster data literacy by educating end-users on how to effectively interpret and use the data platforms.
  • Monitor and provide issue and change management support to maintain the continuity of data platforms for all users.

     

This is where you’ll work

You will work within the central unit Data & Technology Services  (DTS) in the department Enabling Platforms (EP). The EP Data Chapter team, around 15 team members, consists of a Product Owner, Tech Leads and several data engineers. Stakeholders will be representatives from internal business units.

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €58.000 and €80.000
